About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Diversity Officer to join its vibrant, pluralistic learning community. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a climate that respects and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. This includes overseeing and managing diversity and compliance staff, conducting investigations of discrimination complaints, and ensuring the College's compliance with federal, state, and city regulations. The Chief Diversity Officer will also serve as a key member of the recruitment team, implementing the College's affirmative action and equal opportunity policies, and developing and presenting training programs related to diversity and compliance. Applicants for the Chief Diversity Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, with a preference for a JD. The role requires a strong background in EEO and diversity, including experience in complaint resolution and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated cultural competence, emotional intelligence, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities also include collaborating with various offices to ensure the College's EEO compliance and maintaining current knowledge of best practices in advancing EEO and diversity. The Chief Diversity Officer will be a key leader in the College's efforts to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all members of the community.
