Job Description

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux System Administrator to join our team in the Laurel, Maryland location.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, deploy and administer virtualized platforms, using VMWare.
  • Configure and manage Linux and Solaris operating systems
  • Installs/loads operating systems software
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Build, install and configure infrastructure related software.
  • The ability to troubleshoot higher-level problems and resolve complex technical issues where documentation is either lacking or non-existent.
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration. 

  Minimum Qualifications:

  • Shall have a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in technical discipline is required. Additional five years of experience may be substituted for degree.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
  • Experience in implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access is desired.
  • Understanding networking components is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, light work up to 20 lbs., reaching, repetitive motions, sedentary work, walking, working with data, ability to handle stress & work under pressure, ability to use MS Office, ability to use a PC, analytical or critical thinking skills, interpersonal & people skills, leadership skills, listening skills, multi-tasking ability, oral & written communication skills, organizational skills.
