Primary location with possible clinic travel to:

• Newport Beach (13.5 miles)
• Mission Viejo (21.2 miles)
• PIH Whittier (16.9 miles)

Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic procedures, focusing primarily on pediatric patients. The role involves working in both inpatient and outpatient settings and requires travel to nearby clinics as needed.

• Perform echocardiographic studies including 2D, M-mode, and Doppler imaging for pediatric patients.
• Work closely with cardiologists and the care team to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic information.
• Maintain detailed records of procedures and patient information.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and used according to safety and operational standards.
• Travel to satellite clinics based on patient needs and scheduling.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited echocardiography training program OR equivalent experience in pediatric or adult echocardiography.
• Certification: RDCS (PE) – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with Pediatric Echocardiography specialty.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of pediatric echocardiography experience OR
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with a 100% pediatric patient population.
• Licensure: No state licensure required in California; only national certification is needed.

• Daily Caseload: 4–5 studies per session.
• Collaborative team environment with a strong focus on patient care.
• Flexibility to rotate across multiple clinic locations.
